Two restless youths, Jack and Mark, have fled the oppressive streets of a tiny New York village after years of hard labor and harsh hands. Orphans and outcasts, they bond over shared loss and a yearning for freedom, setting off with only the clothes on their backs and a cheeky joke about calling the town “Closedport.” Their escape turns sudden when they hitch a ride on a runaway train that careens through the night, thrusting them into a world of clanking wheels and roaring steam.
Just as the train threatens disaster, a sleek, humming airship called the Electric Monarch swoops in, its captain offering a daring rescue. The boys are whisked aloft, leaving the tracks behind for an exhilarating ascent above clouds and soaring eagles. From that moment they join a crew bound for the frozen frontier, where mysteries of the North Pole beckon and every gust promises a new test of courage.

Behind this name was a whole publishing machine: a house pseudonym used for fast-moving boys' adventure stories packed with lost worlds, inventions, and jungle drama. The books helped shape early 20th-century series fiction, especially for young readers who loved cliffhangers and big imagination.
