Description

Mont Folsom is a bright‑eyed fifteen‑year‑old on the cusp of a grand adventure. Though his hometown knows him as the town’s resident mischief‑maker, he’s just received an invitation to Nautical Hall, a seaside boarding school famed for its daring summer voyages. With his loyal friend Link Harmer at his side and a few colorful townsfolk bidding farewell, Mont packs his belongings and sets off, eager to trade pranks for the roar of waves and the thrill of shipboard life.

Soon after his departure, a seemingly harmless cigar sparks an uncanny transformation—a growing, serpent‑like shape that hints at forces far deeper than ordinary mischief. When a massive octopus looms from the surf and rumors of a mysterious submarine surface, Mont finds himself thrust into a world of hidden seas, daring battles, and strange allies. The first leg of his journey promises bubbling curiosity, underwater wonders, and the promise that the ocean holds wonders—and dangers—beyond his wildest imagination.

Behind this name was a whole publishing machine: a house pseudonym used for fast-moving boys' adventure stories packed with lost worlds, inventions, and jungle drama. The books helped shape early 20th-century series fiction, especially for young readers who loved cliffhangers and big imagination.
