Description

A weary London artist named Allonby drifts into an untouched English valley, where summer light bathes meadows, orchards, and a quiet brook. The landscape unfolds in lush, poetic detail, inviting him to compare the serene countryside with the bustling city he has left behind. As he settles beneath a lone tree with a tankard of cider, his thoughts turn to the nature of truth, temperament, and the yearning for a deeper, almost mythic, sense of self.

The narrative follows his slow, introspective awakening as the valley’s beauty awakens dormant desires and sparks a restless imagination. Through lyrical observations of flora, fauna, and the rhythm of rural life, Allonby begins to question the limits of his former artistic identity. The story balances gentle humor with philosophical musings, offering listeners a meditative journey into the heart of an idyllic world that promises both renewal and subtle unease.
