Description

Miss Kitty Cat is a sleek farm cat who balances calm domestic moments with a fierce hunting spirit. She keeps the rats and mice on edge, yet the farmhouse folk find her soothing when she purrs beside the hearth or nudges Johnnie Green for a gentle rub. Her polite demeanor hides a quick‑tempered side that surfaces whenever a chase is on.

The uneasy truce with the resident dog, Spot, provides much of the story’s gentle conflict; Spot loves to give chase, while Kitty arches her back, tail puffed, and hisses in warning. Their playful rivalry paints vivid scenes of nighttime prowls and sudden dashes through the barnyard. Listeners can hear the soft rustle of paws and the occasional bark, creating a cozy yet lively tableau.

Illustrated with charming black‑and‑white sketches, the tale unfolds in a rhythm perfect for a bedtime listening session. It captures the simple joys and small dramas of farm life, inviting children to imagine the quiet heroics of a beloved cat.
