Description

Benny Badger is the burrowing powerhouse of the high, dry plains, where his massive claws and sturdy frame turn the earth into a playground. He spends his days tunneling beneath the homes of ground squirrels and prairie dogs, often startling the smaller critters who scurry away at his approach. Though clumsy on his feet, Benny’s sharp mind and fierce jaws make him a respected, if misunderstood, neighbor. By night he lounges in the grass, his distinctive black‑V markings and neatly part‑ed fur giving him a memorable look.

One warm summer evening, the plains are quiet and the moonlight invites Benny to dig deeper than ever before. The promise of a new tunnel leads him into unfamiliar territory, where the rustle of unseen creatures hints at a mystery that could change his routine. As he navigates the hidden pathways, Benny must balance his love of digging with the reactions of the animals whose homes he intrudes upon. Listeners will join Benny on this gentle, humor‑filled adventure that explores friendship, curiosity, and the quiet bravery of a badger who’s more than just a digger.
