Frisky Squirrel is a bright‑eyed bundle of energy who makes his home in a hollow hickory limb, surrounded by a forest full of towering trees and abundant seeds. He spends his days leaping from branch to branch, boasting that no hawk, fox or tossed stone can slow him down. With his mother watching lovingly from the tree’s interior, Frisky’s boundless curiosity drives him to explore every corner of the woods, from farmer Green’s golden wheat fields to the hidden nests perched high above.
In his first adventure he discovers the thrill of teasing Jasper Jay, the loud‑mouthed blue jay who guards his nest with fierce squawks. A playful raid on the jay’s twigs sparks a noisy chase, yet Frisky’s fearless sprint down the trunk shows he relishes danger as much as fun. As the seasons turn, his mischief brings him into contact with other forest residents—birds, a prowling hawk, and the busy life of the farm—promising a lively collection of short tales that capture the spirited nature of a squirrel who never stays still.
