Description

A restless young man who has traded city comforts for the lure of open plains finds his life at a crossroads. A telegram from an old mining partner beckons him back to the rugged hills of Colorado, promising a chance to rediscover the freedom he once knew. Though his inheritance keeps him safe, the pull of the frontier feels stronger than any urban indulgence.

In a bustling café, the message is interrupted by a sour encounter with his cousin John and the flamboyant chorus girl Celeste La Rue. Their demanding presence and a sudden request for cash expose a strained family bond and hint at deeper, unsavory dealings. As Frederick walks away, the tension sets the stage for a puzzling case that will drag him from glittering nightclubs to remote desert canyons, where loyalties are tested and hidden motives surface.
