Description

A weary borderman named Geoffrey Benteen finds his world upended when he falls for a striking Frenchwoman whose eyes seem to hold centuries of secret fire. Their brief, intense connection unfolds against the raw, untamed landscape of early America, where danger and desire mingle on every trail. As he clings to the promise of love, Benteen is drawn into a realm of ancient mystery, guided by the haunting whispers of the land itself.

Venturing deeper into the wilderness, he encounters the remnants of a vanished civilization—enigmatic mound builders whose colossal earthworks hint at a forgotten empire. Benteen records their rituals, their tragic decline, and the eerie warnings of a priestess who claims the valley is forbidden to outsiders. Through his eyes the listener hears the clash of cultures, the awe of monumental ruins, and the fragile hope that a single love might bridge worlds on the brink of disappearance.
