Description

Frank Haywood and Bob Archer, the “Saddle Boys,” ride out of the wide‑open plains on their trusty horses, Buckskin and Domino, eager to test the limits of their skill and bravery. Their latest assignment from Colonel Haywood’s mining interests leads them across rolling sagebrush toward the towering cliffs of the Grand Canyon. With a keen eye through a pair of field glasses, they spot a strange, dun‑colored shape hidden in the grass—a clue that sets their curiosity ablaze.

The boys soon find themselves threading narrow canyon trails, trading banter with weather‑worn locals, and stumbling upon ancient cliff dwellings whispering of a forgotten past. Among the echoing walls, a reclusive hermit watches from a shadowed cave, offering riddles that could unlock a hidden treasure or a perilous secret. As Frank and Bob balance caution with daring, their bond is tested and their love of the wild world deepens, promising an adventure that readers will want to follow every gallop of the way.
