In a bustling medieval forge, a young apprentice watches the sparks fly as master armorer Le Brun hammers steel into shape. Their routine is broken by a rag‑clad stranger who bursts in with a mocking grin, demanding food and a place among them. He dazzles the workshop by tossing a gold coin onto the anvil, claiming to have paid his debt threefold, and declares himself the king’s fool.
The fool’s strange jokes and sharp tongue hint at a hidden purpose, and his sudden appearance catches the attention of everyone, especially the suspicious armorer. Whispers begin that he may be a messenger for the mysterious Black Prince, a figure whose influence stretches across war‑torn France. As the apprentices and craftsmen trade wary glances, the stage is set for a game of riddles, loyalty, and a quest that could change the fate of the De Marillac house.
