Description

A man awakens in a stark laboratory, his memories a blank slate except for an uncanny sense of familiarity. As technicians probe his mind, he is forced to answer questions about his name, occupation, and purpose, all while struggling to reconcile the dissonance between what he feels and what he is told he is. The scene unfolds with a tense back‑and‑forth of commands—“clench your fingers,” “blink your eyes”—that hint at a deeper manipulation at work.

Soon he finds himself thrust into a high‑stakes diplomatic meeting, where leaders from the world’s powers argue over a desperate plan to halt a looming ice age. The project, dubbed Ice Thaw, proposes daring weather‑control tactics that could reshape the planet’s climate, but the stakes are enormous and the disagreements sharp. As the protagonist—an apparent geophysicist—tries to navigate the political minefield, the line between his true self and the role he’s been forced to play begins to blur, setting the stage for a gripping exploration of identity, responsibility, and the fragile balance of Earth’s future.
