CHAPTER V
A cluster of sun‑kissed islands drifts in the South Pacific, four bright kingdoms arranged in a square around a tiny, reef‑guarded speck called the Island of Despair. The largest realm, the Island of Sunne, basks in endless daylight and is ruled by a kind king and a generous queen whose people enjoy peace and prosperity. Their only child, Prince Daimur, is sixteen and loves nothing more than galloping his new horse through the emerald forests that fringe the kingdom. Though sheltered by royalty, the young prince already shows a gentle spirit, sharing his own meals with anyone he meets.
One afternoon his ride brings him to a hidden hut where a gaunt old man pleads for water. Moved, Daimur trades his packed provisions for the stranger’s gratitude and promises to return with more. The next day he discovers the cottage smashed and the hermit on the brink of death, whispering of an unseen enemy. This chilling encounter pulls the prince toward the mysterious central island, hinting at hidden magic and a quest that will test the very limits of his courage.
