Description

In the shadowed streets of 1820s Edinburgh, a desperate hunger for fresh bodies fuels a sinister trade that slides from grave‑robbing into something far more murderous. Two cunning outsiders—one a charismatic schemer, the other a road‑worn accomplice—discover that the city's booming medical schools will pay handsomely for cadavers, and they soon turn a morbid market into a chilling enterprise. The opening scenes mix bustling market squares with dim alleys, laying a vivid backdrop for the moral ambiguities that will grip doctors, officials, and ordinary folk alike.

As rumors spread, families of the missing begin to clamor for answers, while surgeons whisper about the ease of their new supply. The narrative follows the early investigations, the uneasy complicity of a few medical practitioners, and the growing dread that something far beyond simple theft is afoot. Listeners are drawn into a tense, atmospheric puzzle that asks how far society will go when the line between science and depravity blurs.
