Description

An Englishman with a restless thirst for speed, George Ewart has spent his youth shuttling between offices, factories and racing circuits. After learning the intricacies of motor‑car engineering, he earns a reputation as a test driver for one of the finest English makes, whisking dignitaries and aristocrats across the Great North Road and beyond. Yet the predictable hum of London’s streets can’t satisfy his urge to see the continent, and a chance summons him to a far‑flung adventure.

At the Royal Automobile Club he is introduced to Count Bindo di Ferraris, a polished Italian noble who masquerades as an English gentleman. The Count offers double pay—on the condition of absolute discretion, hinting at “private family matters” that will soon draw the chauffeur into a web of secrecy. As the engine rumbles to life, listeners are invited to follow a journey that promises glamorous travel, subtle intrigue, and the fine line between loyalty and danger.
