Mr. Bunnikins‑Bunny awakens feeling miserable, plagued by a headache, a toothache, and shivers that refuse to quit. His devoted wife, Mrs. Bunny, nurses him with cayenne‑pepper tea and bundles him in blankets, while the ever‑optimistic Gray‑Squirrel bursts in with a wild proposal: a trip to the Moon in his brand‑new airship. After a flurry of excitement, the whole family—children and all—packs up warm ulsters, caps, and mittens, ready for an adventure that promises fresh air and a view far beyond their garden.
The airship lifts off, sailing past twinkling stars and a flock of strange birds until the crew spots a cluster of “star islands” dotted with gleaming white cows, said to belong to the Moon King himself. They soon glide onto a stark, icy island where a crystal‑clear hotel awaits, its walls of ice letting the cold wind dance inside. Wrapped in cozy blankets and drawn by reindeer‑pulled sleighs, the Bunnikins‑Bunnies brace the frost while their curiosity grows, eager to meet the mysterious ruler who watches over the silvery landscape.
