Description

Horace Ventimore spends his days in a cramped Westminster office, his mind drifting back to a sun‑drenched weekend in Normandy where a fleeting romance with the lively Sylvia Futvoye seemed to promise something more. The memory of cliff‑side picnics, lazy swims, and the charming din of a seaside village haunts his thoughts, a sharp contrast to the grey walls of his desk and the ticking of his watch.

When a peculiar commission lands on his desk, Horace is drawn into a curious deal that delivers a mysterious brass bottle—an object as ornate as it is enigmatic. The bottle’s sudden appearance sparks a series of odd encounters and unexpected opportunities, forcing him to choose between the comfortable mundanity of his routine and the alluring promise of adventure. As the first act unfolds, Horace must decide whether to follow the bottle’s strange allure or cling to the familiar comforts of his orderly life.
