Description

In a fog‑shrouded night on the San Francisco waterfront, the legendary detectives known as Old King Brady and his eager partner Young King Brady slip aboard a small launch, chasing a shadowy figure who carries a Chinese princess. The city’s mist hides more than just the water’s edge, and the brothers must navigate treacherous wharves and shifting tides to keep pace with a mysterious boat that could hold the key to a larger crime. Their mission, assigned by the United States Secret Service, promises danger as they race against time to intercept a covert opium operation.

The Bradys soon discover that the smuggling ring is far more tangled than a single ship—rumors speak of sealed rubber bags dropped at sea, hidden warehouses along the India Basin, and possible allies beyond the Chinese community. With only vague intelligence to guide them, they rely on sharp observation, quick decisions, and a growing tension between patience and action as the fog thickens. Listeners will be drawn into the atmospheric chase, feeling every creak of the launch and the suspense of a case that could expose a network of illegal trade.
