Description

A group of eager Boy Scouts from the Cranford Troop set out for a weekend on the remote Sturgeon Island, ready for fishing, campfires and the usual camaraderie of summer adventure. Their leader, Dr. Hobbs, suddenly receives an urgent summons to tend to a wounded colleague far away, forcing the boys to face the island without the adult guidance they had counted on. As they gather their gear and exchange jokes, the scouts—each with distinct personalities from the quick‑witted “Giraffe” to the solemn “Step Hen” Bingham—discover that the quiet waters hide more than just trout.

Soon the boys realize they are not alone; a band of game‑fish poachers has made the island their secret haven, and the scouts must decide whether to confront the intruders or simply survive until rescue arrives. Their resourcefulness, teamwork, and youthful daring turn an ordinary camping trip into a lively test of courage and cleverness, promising plenty of laughs and suspense for anyone who loves a good outdoor escapade.
