Description

In the dead of a November night, the quiet streets of Quebec lie shrouded in darkness, the city’s few lights flickering like watchful eyes. A lone sentinel, his carbine at his side, scans the horizon with a vigilance that feels almost ritual, his senses tuned to every rustle and shadow. The stillness is deceptive; the distant rumble of the war‑sloop and the faint glow of the Chateau hint at a world on the brink of conflict.

Enter Roderick Hardinge, a high‑spirited young militia officer determined to prove the worth of his men against the mounting American threat. With the Continental forces already sweeping through the colonies and eyeing Quebec as the key to conquering Canada, Hardinge devises a daring, secretive plan to fortify the city’s defenses. As the first frost settles over the citadel, his resolve and the weight of impending battle set the stage for a tense struggle between loyalty, fear, and the hope of holding the line.
