Description

A bleak January night in 1503 cloaks Viipuri Castle in a relentless snowstorm, where the flickering glow from the western tower is the only sign of life. In the dim corridors a nervous servant, lantern in hand, bumps into a shadow‑wrapped figure, and their exchange quickly spirals into whispered threats and frantic attempts to unlock an unseen door. The tension is palpable as voices echo from hidden windows, the castle’s stone walls seeming to breathe with fear and uncertainty.

Amidst the chaos, a young man named Erik Turenpoika emerges as the focal point of a growing mystery. He must navigate a maze of secret passages, cryptic messages, and sudden confrontations that hint at deeper political and supernatural forces stirring within the fortress. The opening layers of dread and intrigue set the stage for a story where loyalty, power, and the unknown clash beneath the cold Finnish night.
