Description

Sunny Boy is a bright‑eyed youngster whose imagination turns everyday objects into grand adventures. In the cozy Horton home, he and his neighbor Nelson spend frosty mornings rolling marbles, arranging tiny lead soldiers, and dreaming of battles that echo the stories they love. A sudden clatter of a marble against a glass door draws in Grandpa Horton, whose gentle humor and watchful eye set the tone for the boys' winter exploits.

With a new pair of double‑runner ice skates tucked under his arm, Sunny Boy is eager to try his first glide on the frozen pond at Wilkins Park. The promise of a lesson with his grandfather sparks excitement and a touch of nervous anticipation, while the neighborhood buzzes with the chilly delights of snowmen, blizzards, and secret projects. Listeners will follow Sunny Boy as he navigates friendship, family, and the simple thrills of a cold‑weather childhood.

About the author

RA

Ramy Allison White

Best known as the name on the Sunny Boy books, this wasn’t a single public author but a Stratemeyer Syndicate house pseudonym. The name is tied to a gentle early-20th-century children’s series that followed Sunny Boy through everyday adventures from 1920 into the early 1930s.
