A battered starship limps onto a swamp‑streaked world, its crew stumbling from the cradle of a distant, fog‑shrouded planet. The air hangs heavy with mystery, and the only signs of life are curious, fire‑ball‑like blobs that flit above grazing creatures, their behavior both playful and oddly attentive. Captain Gwayne, a weary veteran, watches the horizon, haunted by a vanished expedition and a restless sense that this place holds humanity’s precarious chance for survival.
Amid the gloom, two fresh cadets slip away from the base, chasing the strange blobs while the rest of the crew monitors their erratic movements. When the fog parts, a towering, shaggy‑headed mob emerges, moving directly toward the unarmed youths. The captain’s urgent call crackles over the radio, but the true nature of the looming threat—and whether the blobs are friends or omens—remains as murky as the planet’s perpetual mist.
