When Kitchener Tear Tearl, a New York office worker, accidentally grabs the frequency, the message about a mysterious Esquimaux band on Queen Maud Sea shatters his routine. The broadcast’s mix of ordinary home notes and the eerie promise that “the dead do not always die” pulls him into a world of frozen outposts, howling winds and the relentless hum of radio waves.
