Description

In a bustling St. Louis saloon, a circle of well‑dressed mountain men gathers, trading stories of distant peaks, roaming plains and perilous encounters with the Arapaho. Their conversation drifts from theater lights to the raw, untamed world beyond the Mississippi, hinting at hidden fortunes and looming danger. A lone, oddly clad stranger arrives, his deerskin shirt and bright sash marking him as a figure out of step with the city’s polished crowd, and his presence sets a restless tension in the room.

Beyond the city’s limits, a fierce young woman rides the high country, known among the Arapaho as a warrior of uncanny skill. She competes in a foot race that tests both strength and spirit, and her reputation draws the curiosity of the mountain men and the wary respect of the tribal elders. As alliances form and mistrust simmers, the stage is set for daring exploits, rugged romance, and a clash of worlds that will test every character’s courage and honor.
