Description

In the quiet countryside of an Italian autumn, the Morandi family struggles to find balance after the loss of their mother. Their father, a weary office worker, worries about caring for six restless children, while seventeen‑year‑old Maria, bright‑eyed and determined, steps forward to become their makeshift mother. She promises to guide her brothers and sisters through the challenges of daily life, despite her own youth.

The story follows Maria’s gentle yet firm attempts to bring order to the bustling household. Through lively outings to farms, factories, and open fields, she weaves practical lessons with entertaining tales of unnoticed bravery and hidden sacrifice. Each adventure is paired with thoughtful advice, offering young listeners a blend of fun and wisdom that encourages curiosity, responsibility, and kindness. This heartfelt narrative invites listeners aged nine to fourteen to share in the everyday heroism of a sister who learns to lead while nurturing the spirits of her family.
