In a near‑future where the State declares anyone who questions its rule an enemy, a small band of condemned citizens is forced onto the dreaded Black Passage. Among them are Jon, a writer accused of praising forbidden leaders, and Nina, whose loyalty is tested as she faces the same fate. Together with a handful of other outcasts—an ex‑physician, a quiet strongman, and a terrified young farmer—they must survive a night‑marish march through dimly lit tunnels and abandoned cities.
The narrative follows their first days of exile, when the oppressive machinery of the regime looms over every step and the question of whether death itself is a myth becomes a quiet, stubborn mantra. As they navigate the bleak landscape, the surviving members cling to memories of a world that once valued life, drawing strength from one another’s courage. Their journey hints at the possibility of resistance, even when hope seems as dim as the lamps they carry.
