Description

A restless hero drifts far from home after a shipwreck, finding temporary refuge on the island of Ogygia where the nymph Calypso falls for him. Yet the gods, led by Athena, cannot ignore his yearning for Ithaca, and they conspire to send a messenger who will urge his return. The divine council debates his fate, and the promise of a homecoming begins to stir the winds of destiny.

Meanwhile, back on Ithaca, his son Telemachus faces a household overrun by eager suitors vying for his mother’s hand. Determined to learn his father’s fate, he sets out on a daring journey, first seeking counsel from the wise king Nestor in Pylos and then from Menelaus in Sparta. Along the way, he encounters the lingering grief of those who fought alongside Odysseus and the subtle guidance of Athena, who appears in disguise to steer his path.
