Description

A joyous, poetic tableau unfolds in a sun‑dappled meadow, where willow limbs and soft hills frame a young couple just stirring from a tender embrace. Their quiet dialogue blends tender verse with the rustle of early light, inviting the listener into a world where music, movement and colour merge in a Dalcroze‑inspired dance of imagination. The opening scene is a celebration of awakening, a gentle invitation to you to feel the day’s first breath and the subtle magic that lies in ordinary stillness.

The cast is as varied as it is symbolic: a man and a woman, the ethereal figure of May, groups of children, youths, married pairs, and even the seven virtues that hover in the background. In this first act they witness the arrival of May herself, a radiant young spirit who springs from the earth with a flower‑crowned staff, singing of renewal and the bliss of spring. The piece can be presented on a full stage or in a modest, outdoor setting, letting each performance become a personal, celebratory “dream of May.
