Description

Lord Emsworth, the genial but absent‑minded Earl of Blandings, wakes to a rare bout of melancholy when he discovers his spectacles have vanished. From his lofty library window he can feel the summer air and the riot of flowers that carpet his estate, yet he is left stumbling in the dark, his usual calm shattered by the simple inconvenience. The castle’s timeless charm and its eccentric staff, led by the unflappable butler Beach, set the stage for a gently chaotic day.

Meanwhile, Freddie Threepwood is desperate for a thousand pounds to launch a bookmaker’s venture and secure his future with Eve, while his uncle quietly schemes to raise three thousand for a runaway daughter. Their solution? A daring plan to pilfer a valuable necklace, and they turn to the ever‑resourceful Psmith—known for his impeccable manners and razor‑sharp wit. As Psmith’s elaborate schemes unfold, his charm works in unexpected ways, drawing Eve’s attention even as the necklace remains just out of reach.
