Description

A bright‑eyed nineteen‑year‑old Erik steps out of a Latin school into a world that feels both vast and intimate. Fresh from his exams, he meets the enigmatic Professor Almkvist, a man whose inventions promise to reshape ordinary life, and Wen Siang, a curious companion with a talent for seeing the unseen. Together they form an unlikely trio, bound by curiosity and a shared longing for adventure.

Their first journey begins on a North‑Danish vessel bound for the icy coasts of Greenland, where a wayward balloon and a mysterious black pearl hint at forces beyond ordinary science. As they navigate treacherous seas and confront strange phenomena, the friends discover that each discovery carries a ripple of wonder and danger. The opening act sets the stage for an expedition that blends humor, melancholy, and the thrill of the unknown, inviting listeners to follow the trio into realms where imagination and reality intertwine.
