In the wake of the ten‑year Trojan War, King Agamemnon finally sails home to Argos, only to be met with a chilling betrayal. His wife Clytemnestra, bound to the ruthless Aegisthus, has already plotted his murder, and the palace teems with unease. Their children—Orestes, the exiled son, and his sister Elektra—are left to navigate a realm where honor and vengeance clash with fear and silence.
Against this backdrop, Elektra becomes the relentless voice of retribution, her grief sharpening into a fierce resolve. Hidden beneath the watchful eyes of the new rulers, Orestes returns incognito, guided by a loyal mentor and a steadfast friend. As the siblings reunite in secret, the tension in the royal courtyard mounts, setting the stage for a clash between familial duty and the corrupt power that now holds Argos.

One of the great playwrights of ancient Athens, this master of tragedy helped shape dramatic storytelling for centuries. His surviving plays, including Oedipus the King and Antigone, still feel sharp, tense, and deeply human.
