Description

A nervous, pint‑sized lawyer bursts into a modest cabin, breathless with a single, urgent request: the young clerk Clement must win the hand of the enigmatic Heloise Reys before she disappears across the Atlantic. The frantic plea sets off a cascade of witty misunderstandings, as Clement, more accustomed to unpacking luggage than courting, is thrust into a whirlwind of social expectations, family secrets, and the promise of a luxurious sea‑voyage that could turn a chance meeting into a lifelong partnership.

The story unfolds with sharp, period‑flavored dialogue and a playful tone that keeps the tension light even as the stakes rise. As Clement grapples with the absurdity of being thrust into a marriage plot by a frantic lawyer, he discovers that love, duty, and ambition can collide in the most unexpected of circumstances, offering listeners a charming blend of comedy and romance.
