Die Abenteuer Gawains Ywains und Le Morholts mit den drei Jungfrauen aus der Trilogie (Demanda) des pseudo-Robert de Borron

A richly illustrated 15th‑century French romance, this manuscript weaves together the daring exploits of three celebrated knights—Gawain, Ywain, and Le Morholt—as they each pursue a mysterious trio of maidens. The prose, drawn from a larger Arthurian cycle, captures the glittering world of courtly love, honor, and the ever‑present tension between earthly quests and the lingering magic of the old legends. Its vivid miniatures and ornamental lettering bring the medieval atmosphere to life, inviting listeners to step into a tapestry of chivalry and wonder.

In the opening act, the three heroes embark on separate yet intertwined journeys, each testing their bravery against enchanted forests, perilous foes, and riddles that hint at deeper mysteries. Their paths begin to converge as whispers of the legendary wizard Merlin surface, suggesting that the search for forgotten wisdom may be as crucial as any battle. The narrative balances swift action with lyrical description, making it an engaging entry point into the timeless world of Arthurian adventure.
