Description

In a secluded Alpine valley where snow blankets the world and the sun barely breaks through the grey horizon, a modest farm called Rohrmoos clings to life. The cold is relentless, yet the heat of hearth and livestock creates a vivid contrast, turning the farmyard into a sanctuary of steam, light, and the scent of fresh hay. This stark, wintry tableau invites listeners into a place where nature’s harshness is met with human resilience and quiet daily rituals.

Within the warm kitchen, four figures gather around a modest breakfast: Ludwig Gastelmeier, the stoic owner of the farm; his son Friedrich, a mirror of his father yet bearing his own subtle differences; their mother; and a young, blonde woman whose presence hints at new possibilities. Their conversations are tentative, their thoughts lingering on the burdens of inheritance, the demands of the land, and the hopes that stir beneath the surface. The story unfolds as these characters navigate the delicate balance between tradition and change, all set against the enduring rhythm of the Alpine winter.
