Description

A sleek steam yacht named the Duncan cuts through the North Sea, its white flag fluttering beside a blue banner embroidered with “E.G.”. On board, the aristocratic Lord Glenarvan, his curious wife Lady Helena, and their adventurous nephew Major Mac Nabbs share a moment of awe when a massive, mysterious shark—referred to as the “balance fish”— surfaces nearby. Their captain, John Mangles, proposes an impromptu hunt, turning a routine sea trial into a thrilling spectacle that hints at the bold spirit of the crew.

That daring encounter sets the stage for a far‑wilder expedition. When a series of puzzling documents arrives, the party learns of a missing explorer, Captain Grant, and his children stranded somewhere in South America. Driven by curiosity and a sense of duty, they prepare to leave familiar waters behind, embarking on a voyage that will test their courage across remote islands, rugged mountains, and untamed plains. The adventure promises danger, discovery, and the bond forged among unlikely companions.
