In the heart of Victorian London, a calm and inscrutable gentleman lives at No. 7, Saville Row, a regular at the Reform Club but a mystery to the city’s bustling streets. He shuns banks, courts, and trade, preferring precise routines and quiet evenings, which earns him whispers of a mind as steady as a clock. Though little is known of his origins, his reputation for unflappable composure makes him a figure of quiet fascination.
One evening, over a wager at the club, he declares he can circumnavigate the globe in eighty days, betting a tidy sum on his certainty. He quickly hires a sprightly French valet, Passepartout, whose exuberant spirit contrasts sharply with his master’s restraint. Together they set out on steamships, trains, and unconventional routes, racing against time while the world watches the bold experiment unfold. A keen detective, Fix, overhears the bet and follows them, adding another layer of pursuit.
