Description

In the sun‑dappled pine forest of Oregon, a mother brown bear watches over her two cinnamon‑colored cubs, Chinook and Snookie. The cubs tumble and wrestle in the soft earth, chasing each other among ferns, mushrooms, and a bubbling creek teeming with trout. Their world is a rich tapestry of towering junipers, moss‑covered boulders, and hidden berry thickets that promise endless summer games. As they grow, curiosity pulls them farther from the den, eager to explore the wild realm their mother has claimed.

One bright June morning a lone ranger boy in blue overalls and a wide straw hat wanders into their clearing, rod slung over his shoulder. The bear family reacts with a mixture of alarm and bold bravado, especially the adventurous Chinook, who is ready for a showdown. The encounter sets the stage for a gentle clash of worlds—wildnature versus human stewardship—where the cubs must decide how far their courage will carry them. Listeners are invited to follow Chinook’s first steps into a larger adventure, the forest alive with wonder and whisked by the scent of pine and fresh water.
