Description

A curious young nobleman known as the Little Baron, accompanied by his loyal dog Bulger, sets out from his eclectic castle to chase the whispers of a hidden world beneath the earth. Guided by cryptic notes from the eccentric scholar Don Fum, they travel from the bustling streets of St. Petersburg to the remote reaches of Archangel, gathering strange companions and confronting the eccentric locals who both aid and impede their quest. The early part of the journey is a lively mix of humor and wonder, as the pair navigate icy roads, uneasy teamsters, and the promise of mysterious portals that might lead to an inner realm.

As the Baron and Bulger press onward, they encounter a reclusive guide named Yuliana and learn of the legendary Giants’ Well, a place said to open onto a labyrinth of subterranean passages. Their determination drives them up treacherous slopes and into the mouth of a colossal funnel, where the size of the opening seems to mock their ambitions. Yet with Bulger’s quick thinking and the Baron's inventive spirit, the first steps into the underground world become a tantalizing glimpse of the marvels that await.
