Description

Set against the turbulent twilight of the sixteenth‑century north, the tale opens with a lone hunting vessel cutting through the restless waters of the Gulf of Finland. Its sleek hull and twin cannons mark it as more than a simple trader, hinting at secret cargo and hidden motives in a world where the clash between Catholic and Protestant powers has spilled onto the sea. As a sudden storm lashes the sky and turns the waves into jagged knives, the crew finds themselves thrust into a maelstrom that mirrors the political upheavals swirling through Sweden, Poland and the wider continent.

While the tempest rages, the narrative weaves together the ambitions of rival nobles, the cruel machinations of a growing Jesuit order, and the desperate hopes of ordinary sailors caught in the crossfire. Through vivid descriptions of fractured seas, looming cliffs and whispered intrigues, the story immerses listeners in a world where faith, loyalty, and survival hang in a delicate balance, promising more danger and intrigue as the conflict inches toward the shores of a war‑torn Finland.
