Description

In the rugged valleys of British Columbia, a young English rancher named Brooke finds himself alone in a wind‑blown shanty, the night air heavy with pine and the distant rush of a river. The stunning wilderness offers no comfort as he wrestles with a growing sense of failure—his hard‑won land, a costly investment, feels more like a burden than a promise, and a bottle of whisky sits heavy in his hand. Adding to his unease is Bella, the striking yet untamed maid whose overt affection threatens to pull him further from the ideals that once guided him.

Beside him, his loyal companion Jimmy offers a blunt, seasoned perspective, reminding Brooke that survival in this remote frontier comes at a price measured in cartridges and deer hides. As the moon casts its cold light over snow‑capped peaks, Brooke must decide whether to cling to the precarious life he’s built or venture beyond the mountains in search of a new direction. The opening sets a tense, atmospheric stage where nature, ambition, and personal reputation collide.
