Description

The story follows an American engineer who finds himself inexplicably thrust into King Arthur’s realm. In this second installment he has risen to a position of influence, yet his new “luxury” is a bewildering mix of silk and gold with no basic comforts—no soap, matches, glass, or even a proper light source. He is forced to confront the stark contrast between his familiar 19th‑century home and a medieval castle that lacks even the simplest conveniences.

As word spreads that he saved the kingdom from a terrifying eclipse, crowds pour in from every corner of Britain, eager to see the mysterious “magician.” Their reverence turns his daily life into a relentless parade of visits and requests, pulling him deeper into the political and cultural whirl of the Age of Chivalry. Through witty observations and sharp humor, the narrative explores the clash of modern ingenuity with ancient superstition, all while the protagonist wrestles with the absurdities of his newfound fame.
