On a modest farm in the dusty plains of La Mancha lives a fifty‑year‑old gentleman of modest means. He spends his days hunting, overseeing his household, and indulging in lavish meals that drain most of his income. When idle hours arrive—often three quarters of the year—he retreats into a mountain of chivalric romances, devouring tale after tale until reality blurs. The endless reading softens his judgment, filling his mind with heroic duels, enchanted giants and distant courts.

One night, overwhelmed by the fantasies he has nurtured, he decides to become the knight he has admired on the page. He fashions a makeshift armor from rusted family weapons and fresh leather, polishing and repairing what he can. Fueled by a yearning for glory and a desire to right imagined wrongs, he sets out from his modest homestead, ready to chase the adventures that have lived only in his imagination.
