Description

Allan Traynor, the weather‑worn foreman of the Diamond H Ranch, summons his trusted rider Limber to investigate a potential sale of prized three‑year‑old steers. Beside him stands Dr. Powell, a newcomer to the Arizona desert whose medical training feels oddly distant from the clang of spurs and the lowing of a restless herd. As the sun‑brown men watch the cattle surge toward the road, the vast Sulphur Spring Valley unfurls behind them, a frontier that promises both wealth and danger.

Local lore soon seeps into their plans: a legend of the Hasayampa River promises absolute truth to anyone who drinks its waters from the right side of the crossing, while a fatal misstep turned the tale into a cautionary warning. With rustlers lurking and the trail ahead shrouded in dust, the trio must balance ambition with the raw, unpredictable spirit of the land. Their journey along the long, dim trail is only beginning, and the open range will test loyalty, courage, and the truth each character clings to.
