Don Quichot van La Mancha

In a dusty village of La Mancha lives a thin, middle‑aged gentleman whose greatest passion is the endless flood of chivalric tales he devours. So absorbed in heroic legends that he neglects meals and money, he convinces himself that the world needs a new knight‑errant, and he sets out to fashion a suit of armor from forgotten relics. With a stubborn determination he scrapes rust from an old breastplate, fashions a makeshift helm from a storm‑cap and paper, and tests its strength by striking it with his own sword.

His only companion on this fledgling quest is a loyal, earthy squire named Sancho, who watches his master’s grand designs with a mix of amusement and concern.
