Description

A weary monarch returns from war without sight, surrounded by the splendor of his court yet unable to perceive its beauty. He mourns the loss of his children’s faces, hearing their voices but never seeing their smiles, and his solitude deepens into sleepless nights of longing. One evening a strange, luminous figure appears in his dreams, whispering of a treasure “as bright as sunshine” that might restore his vision, and urging his sons to embark on a great search across the kingdom.

The king confides his haunting visions to his trusted ministers, who counsel him with careful wisdom while the court buzzes with speculation. As the royal family prepares for an uncertain journey, the tale follows the king’s inner struggle between duty and desire, and the burgeoning hope that a quest sparked by a dream could bring light back into his world. Listeners are invited to walk alongside a ruler whose kingdom is as much a landscape of inner shadows as it is of gilded halls.
