Description

The story begins in a quiet, candle‑lit chamber of the Cardinal’s palace, where a lone figure stares into a roaring fire, his thoughts drifting back to the days of intrigue and swordplay that once defined his life. Twenty years have passed since the musketeers first swore their famous oath, and the world they left behind has shifted dramatically—monarchs rise and fall, and the streets of Paris hum with the restless whispers of revolution.

When d’Artagnan returns to France, he discovers that his old companions have taken divergent paths: Porthos seeks a title, Aramis has embraced a secretive religious life, and Athos bears the weight of a tragic past. Their reunion is both heartfelt and uneasy, as each man grapples with personal loss, political loyalties, and the lingering shadow of Cardinal Richelieu’s legacy. Amid the looming threat of civil war, old friendships are tested, setting the stage for daring escapades and the timeless clash of honor versus ambition.
