Nota de transcripción
The story opens in the dim, vaulted halls of an old palace turned archive, where shafts of January sunrise filter through high windows and awaken rows of rusted armor and dusty scrolls. The once‑grand armory now resembles a museum of silent, metal mannequins, while the walls are lined with yellowed parchments that smell of centuries of intrigue. In this hushed sanctuary the only living presence is a caretaker, whose routine is interrupted by the sudden bustle of servants and the arrival of a striking priest‑like gentleman in a cap and Bayonne vest.
He moves through the courtyard with brisk authority, urging workers onward and sparking whispers among staff. The peculiar visitor seems at home among the relics, his keen eye catching a forgotten letter from the Gran Capitán and a curious inventory of jewels belonging to a former viceroy. As the day unfolds, the palace awakens to a chorus of clattering hooves, murmuring voices, and the promise of secrets buried within its walls, hinting at a larger game of power and faith that will soon draw the characters into conflict.
