Description

A wondrous tale unfolds in an age when life seemed limitless, beginning with the miraculous birth of a golden‑skinned prince emerging from his father’s crown. Named Māndhātar, the child’s arrival sparks awe among the king’s countless wives and sets the stage for a destiny marked by extraordinary signs and divine favor.

When his father falls gravely ill, the kingdom’s ministers scramble to bring the new heir to the palace for coronation, but Māndhātar insists that authority should arrive wherever he stands. In a striking ceremony, demons place the royal fillet upon him and reveal seven hidden treasures, while the land teems with heroic offspring and mystic symbols.

The narrative weaves together vivid images of enchanted forests, contemplative hermits, and even cranes stripped of their flight by a sage’s curse, hinting at the delicate balance between spiritual pursuit and worldly wonder. Listeners will be drawn into a rich tapestry of mythic intrigue, where the ordinary and the supernatural intersect in the ancient world of Tibetan legend.
