Description

Three spirited siblings—Tommy, Johnny and little Mary—call themselves the Trippertrots because they’re always tripping off on an adventure. One rainy afternoon, while their nursemaid is distracted by a telephone call, the trio slips out of the house to explore the bustling city streets. Their curiosity leads them past bustling markets, balloon sellers, and a parade of wheeling babies, all while they keep an eye out for the nursemaid’s return.

As they wander, the children discover a toy shop window full of glittering trains and bright carriages, sparking a lively debate about imagination versus reality. Their hurried pace carries them through a kaleidoscope of city sights—a near‑miss with a trolley, an exuberant dog’s bark, and the occasional mischievous fair‑folk rumor that fuels Mary’s wish for a fairy encounter. Along the way, the Trippertrots learn just how far a simple walk can wander, and they begin to wonder whether the city holds friendly helpers or hidden hurdles before they’re called back home for tea.
