Description

In a breezy country manor, the three Carter sisters celebrate Caroline’s birthday amid a cascade of charming gifts—a painted blotting‑book, a fresh set of brushes, a tin‑lined case of exotic trinkets, and a curious little volume of flower meanings. Their playful banter quickly turns to intrigue when the new book hints at hidden secrets, and a lavish leopard‑skin draped over the room seems to promise more than simple décor.

As the girls and their brother Charles begin to explore the manor’s sprawling garden, they discover a concealed world of riddles, whispered alliances, and a veiled lady who drifts through the hedges in velvet. Their curiosity pulls them into a series of whimsical investigations—code‑filled chess pieces, cryptic notes, and an unexpected midnight adventure—while the garden itself becomes a character, blooming with mystery and the promise of hidden wonders.
